The Broadleaf Group, LLC was founded by two seasoned, industry-recognized professionals that realized that business is hungry for a partner that specializes in turning IT assets into business advantage. Formed in 2004 and based in Houston, Broadleaf Group has become recognized as the group to turn to for IT and business certainty in an uncertain world.

Leadership Team

Donald Edwards, Managing Director, co-founder

Mr Edwards is co-founder and Managing Partner at the Broadleaf Group responsible for all business operations.  Prior to starting the Broadleaf Group, he was Director of Operations for a systems integrator responsible for standardizing process based on industry best practices frameworks.  He led practice groups focused on large-scale LAN, Security, & Systems deployments. Mr Edwards has served on several technology advisory boards with manufacturers such as Check Point, Cisco, & Novell. With this strong technology background and business acumen, he has gained a "Trusted Advisor" relationship with many Fortune 500 companies. Additionally, he has served on various committees that focus on youth outreach and orphan ministries.  Mr. Edwards is a graduate of University of Houston with a Bachelor in Science.

Jason Knight, Managing Director, co-founder

Jason Knight is co-founder and Managing Partner at The Broadleaf Group. Over the past 20 years in the IT industry Mr. Knight has served in various advisor roles from technical consulting to IT management support. He has played instrumental roles in the development of many industry standards, including API standard for information security. He is a trusted advisor to many industry financial analysts, providing industry direction and guidance on a variety of IT and security related issues. In 1996 he founded an IT security management and consulting practice at the forefront of the developing industry. He is active in the industry serving on many technology advisory boards such as: Intel, Microsoft, Check Point, Nokia, Blue Coat, Q1 Labs, and Citrix.
